You can break free from the norm and you can create a retirement you would like to live!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"quotables\">Quotables<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe 4% rule has traditionally said that whatever amount of money you save in retirement, you should be able to live on 4% of that money and not run out of it for life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen you move into retirement, it\u2019s not like you\u2019re taking stock market returns.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe average actual return of the S&amp;P 500 in the last 30 years has been about 8.5% with this record 13 \u00bd years and up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf you look at this, the big issue that we have is that we can\u2019t save that money.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe truth is, we all know that inflation is much higher than what the government is telling us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Wall Street Journal just recently came up with an article that says 4% should no longer be the benchmark people should be using.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA couple of hundred dollars a month, they couldn\u2019t even come close.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not because people aren\u2019t saving.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve said it forever but of course Wall Street Journal comes out with it and there\u2019s been other articles that have come out over the years, questioning this 4% rule that\u2019s been around since the 90\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNowhere has Einstein ever said that compound interest is the 8th wonder of the world, talking about money.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDo not put yourself in a place where you\u2019ve ruined your life because you\u2019re trying to gamble with your money, trying to shortcut something that doesn\u2019t work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not about working harder, it\u2019s not even about trying to working smarter by saving a lot. Those are all good things. It\u2019s about working right &#8211; doing the right things, the right way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe way to go is by looking at these alternative investments, looking at ways to generate income.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLook outside the norm, go away from the masses where they\u2019re broke.
